Dive & Thrive, LLC (hereafter referred to as "the Company") is committed to providing high-quality swim lessons and aquatic education. By registering for any course, lesson, or membership, participants and/or their legal guardians agree to adhere to the following terms and conditions. These terms are subject to change at any time without prior notice.
Payment Policies
Private and Semi-Private Lessons
- All Private and Semi-Private Lessons must be paid in full before the first lesson.
- After the first lesson has been scheduled, no refunds will be provided.
- All lessons must be used within a 12-week period from the date of the first lesson. Unused lessons after this time frame will be forfeited.
Group Lessons
- Registration for Group Lessons is final.
- No refunds will be issued after the first day of the session unless approved under exceptional circumstances. Exceptions include:
- Submission of a signed doctor’s note indicating that the participant is medically unable to participate.
Annual Memberships
- Once an annual membership is purchased, no refunds will be provided under any circumstances.
Course Expectations
Participants are required to meet the following expectations to ensure the integrity and quality of the courses:
- Participants must arrive on the first day of their scheduled class with all required pre-course materials, including but not limited to:
- Prerequisite certifications
- Completed online assessments
- Age verification
- Course materials, manuals, and any other items specified in the Red Cross Welcome Letter.
- Manuals and materials may be either hardcopy or digital.
- The Lifeguarding Instructor Manual must be in hardcopy form. This can be:
- Purchased in advance
- Self-printed and brought to the course
- Provided on the first day of class if purchased during registration.
- Participants are responsible for completing all precourse assessments using the online or PDF version of the instructor manual prior to the start of class.
Online Assessments
Non-Instructor Level Courses
- Online assessments will be sent to the email address used for registration.
- It is the responsibility of the cardholder to forward the assessment to the participant and ensure its completion prior to the first day of the course.
Instructor Level Courses
- Online assessments will be provided within two weeks of the course start date via the email address entered during registration.
- All practice teaching assignments, as outlined in the Red Cross Welcome Letter, must be reviewed and prepared in advance. Assignments will be randomly distributed on the first day of the course.
Injury and Medical Conditions
- Participants who suffer an injury prior to the course start date must provide a signed doctor’s note confirming their eligibility to participate in a physical, hands-on aquatic class.
- Failure to provide a doctor’s note will result in removal from the course without a refund.
- For injuries sustained during the course, please refer to the Cold-Harm Form for guidance.
Refund Policies
- Refunds will not be provided under the following circumstances:
- Less than seven (7) business days before the course start date or precourse assessment.
- Failure to complete online assessments.
- Unsuccessful completion of precourse skill assessments.
- No-shows for any part of the course.
- Participants who are unsuccessful in their precourse skill assessments will not be allowed to continue with the course and are not eligible for a refund. This policy adheres to Red Cross standards.
Inclement Weather / Acts of God
- If a course is postponed or rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen events, make-up sessions will be arranged as outlined in the registration receipt.
- Refunds will not be provided for participants unable to attend scheduled make-up sessions.
Acknowledgment and Agreement
By registering for any lesson, course, or membership with Dive & Thrive, LLC, participants and/or their legal guardians acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
